This system allows the operator to mount almost any type of accessory to the MICH/ACH helmet without drilling any holes in the helmet and is designed to be used with the Anvis-9 night vision goggle, existing mount, and battery pack. The existing NVG front helmet mount is easily attached to a special adapter plate on the system and installed on the helmet with no drilling creating a streamlined and very efficient helmet mounting platform – WITH NO HOLES TO DRILL!
The system is excellent for mountng surefire flashlights with IR filters to provide a huge amount of additional lighting for the operator wearing night vision goggles. Ideal for CQB room clearing, search missions and especially medical personnel who have to treat patients at night with white light or IR filtered light. this system eliminates or greatly reduces having additional people to hold flashlights on patients.
The main body webbing structure is fully adjustable to fit various types of helmets. Extra hook/loop is provided for attaching NVG glint tape, unit identifiers and/or American flag patches. A special front bracket mounts the existing aviator helmet mount, a special back bracket mounts the battery pack and a special enclosed routing system protects the electrical cable/connectors leading from the rear mounted battery pack to the goggles. Special rubberized webbing fastens entire system securely to helmet.
Accessories such as flashlights, cameras, etc. can be attached to two M1913 picatinney rail sections supplied on each side of the helmet. These hard points are adjustable and easily removable if not needed allowing you to position any item as needed. Use one or both hard points.
The M1913 picatinney rail accepts all types of surefire flashlight mounts, weaver rails, etc. Anything that uses the M1913 rail system can be attached but this system is primarily for flashlights, cameras, NVG battery packs, etc. Special mounts can be manufactured to fit any piece of gear that you want to mount but does not have an existing M1913 base.
Does not interfere with Peltor headsets and can be used with or without a helmet cover. System interfaces with:
